“Junior year is early enough to start.”
A high school student in a hoodie works through homework at home

The belief that costs families the most

Most parents hear it from someone they trust. Then junior year arrives, and the course choices, summers and activities that shape an application have already happened without a plan.

Private consultants solve this, but they often cost $10,000, $20,000 or more. A free chatbot will answer questions, but it doesn’t know your child, track their deadlines or remember last month’s essay draft.

Ivysion.ai sits in between. The AI does the repetitive work every day: the timeline, the list, the first round of essay feedback. A human advisor handles the judgment calls. Your student gets a plan from 9th grade on, and you can see how it’s going.

What your student gets

Specific tools for each part of the process, each showing a real output.

Timeline generator · Standard and up

A four-year roadmap built around your child

Mapped from their actual courses, activities and target colleges. It shows when to test, when to start the list, when essays should be drafted and when everything is due, and it updates as things change.

Example · this month
  • Register for October PSATDue Sep 15
  • Shortlist 3 summer programsIn progress
College matching · Standard and up

A college list built from the profile, not from rumor

Grades, scores and activities are matched against admissions data to build reach, target and safety schools. On Pro, the acceptance simulator estimates where your student stands at each one.

Example · balanced list
  • Reach5 schools
  • Target8 schools
  • Safety4 schools

An estimate to guide the list. No tool can promise an admission decision.

Essay review · every plan

Feedback on every draft, in your child’s own words

Instant comments on structure, clarity and voice, any time of day. On Premium, an advisor gives the final read before anything is submitted.

Example · feedback on draft 2

“Your opening tells us you love robotics. Show the night the arm finally worked, and let the reader reach that conclusion.”

Financial aid & scholarships · Pro and Premium

Help finding money families often miss

Scholarship discovery and financial aid tools sit next to the college list, so cost is part of the plan from the start, not a surprise in April of senior year.

Example · matched to profile
  • Merit scholarships on the list6 schools

Our essay policy

Guidance, not ghostwriting.

Colleges want to hear your child’s voice, and so do we. Ivysion’s AI points out what’s unclear, what’s missing and what’s working. The words stay your student’s.

We don’t promise to get anyone past an AI detector, because we don’t write the essay in the first place.

A teenage student writes notes in a notebook at a desk at home
Example feedback

I have always been passionate about helping others. Volunteering at the food bank taught me a lot about myself.

What exactly did it teach you? Pick one Saturday and one moment. Admissions readers remember scenes better than summaries.

Questions parents ask

Straight answers.

Is 9th grade too early to start?

No. The choices that matter most to an application, like courses, activities and summers, start in 9th grade. Starting early also keeps the process calmer, because nothing has to be rushed later.

Does the AI write my child’s essays?

No. Ivysion gives feedback on drafts your student writes: structure, clarity, voice and what’s missing. It never writes the essay for them.

When does a human advisor get involved?

On the Premium plan, your student is matched with a dedicated advisor within 48 hours, with regular meetings and ongoing messaging. Every advisor holds IECA, HECA or equivalent credentials, or has 3+ years in college admissions. Standard and Pro plans use the AI tools without an assigned advisor.

Can I sign up as the parent?

Yes. Sign up as a parent, then your student links your account from Settings → Linked Accounts → Invite a Parent. They decide what you see and can change it any time.

What if it isn’t a fit?

Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. A card is required, and if you cancel before the trial ends you pay nothing.

We have more than one child. Is there a discount?

Yes. Each additional sibling gets 20% off.

Is my child’s information safe?

Students under 13 need verifiable parental consent. We’re FERPA compliant, we never sell personal information, and your student’s work isn’t used to train our AI provider’s models.

Can Ivysion guarantee admission?

No, and you should be careful with anyone who does. We help your student plan early, apply well and make informed choices. Admission decisions belong to the colleges.
